Smoke sauna evening for groups in Jätkänkämppä, Rauhalahti

Spa Hotel Rauhalahti's large smokesauna is situated at Jätkänkämppä lumberjacks' Lodge (real lumberjacks' lodge from 1950´s), 600 m from Spa Hotel Rauhalahti. This large authentic smoke sauna is located on Lake Kallavesi. Lodge Jätkänkämppä and smoke sauna are a wonderful venue telling the history of Finnish lumberjacks' culture. A smoke sauna is a traditional Finnish type of sauna, which is heated with wood so that the smoke spreads into the steam room and exits through a vent, giving the sauna its unique aroma and atmosphere.

Groups can reserve smoke sauna on request. Private reservations cannot be made for the days when there is a public smoke sauna evening (Tuesdays and also summer Thursdays, some Fridays in July). During the evening it is possible to bath in the large smoke sauna, relax outside on a covered terrace while enjoying sauna drinks. You can swim in the lake - in winter time you can try ice swimming in the ice hole. It is possible to reserve some sauna snacks, for instance typical Finnish grill sausages with salad. If the group wants to have a real dinner buffet, they can reserve the Jätkänkämppä Lodge -restaurant for private use.

Smoke sauna bathing is not a fleeting pleasure; instead, one enjoys the gentle steam for a long time. In between, you can cool off, enjoy sauna drinks, admire the beautiful lake scenery, and go for a swim. A smoke sauna session is unhurried and relaxing.

Rates: private smoke sauna 490 € / two hours / 20 persons including towels. Extra person 12 €. Sundays and Holy Days for an additional fee. If the group reserves the Jätkänkämppä Lodge, the rate is 320 € / six hours, extra hours 100 € / hour. Sundays and Holy Days 500 € / six hours.
