Kukkolankoski Cultural Heritage

Kukkolankoski is a village by the Tornio river with living traditional fishing culture. In the summer season fishermen catch whitefish in the rapids with a dipnet following the centuries old tradition. The catch is shared every summer evening in an intriguing ceremony at the rapids field.
