Västerby outdoor recreation centre

1,500 hectares of beautiful nature with varying trekking trails and skiing tracks are offered to hikers, cross-country skiers, orienteers, exercisers and to the friends of nature.

The terrain is very versatile and along the nature trails you can admire beautiful forest and lake scenery alike. There are a few swimming places and potholes. Västerby is also very suitable for camping.

Location

Västerby outdoor recreation centre is located by Tenalavägen (Route 52), about 5 km from Ekenäs centre. An outdoor map of the area can be picked up from the Ekta museum in Ekenäs.

You can get a nature guide to Västerby who will tell you about the nature, animals, birds, plants and mushrooms in the area. At the same time you can relax by the campfire enjoying coffee and sausage that have been prepared on the fire.

Unfortunately the area is not accessible, due to uneven terrain.
