Stay in the middle of nature, in the middle of a reindeer pasture, watching cute baby reindeer and their mothers. Watch the calves running around in the forest, playing and learning from their mothers how to live in Lapland's nature.Visits are available in early summer, when the reindeer calves come into the world. Dozens of calves are born on our reindeer farm every spring. You will experience a fabulously beautiful midnight sun. It doesn't get dark all night, so you can admire the reindeer and nature until dawn. If you can go to sleep, you'll have a cosy place to stay: a genuine reindeer herders' wooden lean-to (laavu), where they have traditionally stayed during their reindeer husbandry work. The sleeping bag is a very warm traditional sleeping bag made of reindeer hide. In the morning, we serve a Lappish breakfast by the fire. You can stay in complete privacy as the area is privately owned. Your guide will be present at all times in a nearby cottage. In Porovaara you will be surrounded by the peace of nature, which in spring is filled with birdsong. Experience the midnight sun of Lapland together with the reindeer in Porovaara. Just a 20-minute drive from the centre of Rovaniemi.
