Kangasniemi, along with its surrounding areas and nearby towns, is located in the heart of the most beautiful Finnish Lakeland. You can combine various activities with your visit, and there’s something for everyone, from children to adults. The Kangasniemi region offers many opportunities for nature experiences and exploration.

During your visit, you can try self-guided activities both in summer and winter. Through our partner Rock and Lake, you can rent a boat, canoe, or SUP board and explore the clean natural waters of Kyyvesi.

The area’s forest roads and paths ensure you easily to reach the heart of the forest from the school yard, either on foot or by bike.

Kakkaramäki offers accommodation for up to 20 guests. The guest rooms are located in two floors. Guests have access to shared bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The shared sauna and bathing facilities are located in the basement. You can book a private sauna session in advance when making your reservation. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

We have a total of six rooms: four double rooms and two larger rooms accommodating 4–6 guests, making Kakkaramäki a great choice for larger groups as well. Extra beds can also be added to the double rooms.

The kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove, cooking utensils, and tableware. The kitchen on the second floor includes an oven, also.

Well-behaved pets that get along with other animals and people are also welcome at Kakkaramäki!
