In Okkola’s blueberry rye-pie (mustikkakukko or rättänä in finnish) workshop you´ll discover the old art of making tasty rättänäs! The hostess, Paula, will guide you through the knicks and knacks of baking these traditional delicacies in her own country home.

Welcome to my cozy home on the island of Niinisaari on Lake Saimaa!

In the workshop, we’ll bake traditional blueberry rye pies together, share stories and eat blueberry rye pies together at the end. The workshop takes place in my home, in the beautiful surroundings of a 1700s log cabin. We’ll start by making the basic dough together, forming the base, edges and lid from the dough.
