Attraction
Puurijärvi and Isosuo National Park rests in the heart of the valuable cultural landscape of Satakunta, in Kokemäki. One of the park’s distinctive features is its birdlife, attracted by the wetlands.
Established in 1993 in Kokemäki, Puurijärvi–Isosuo National Park is a diverse destination for outdoor activities. Managed and maintained by Metsähallitus, the area is unique in many ways, as its waters form a rare wetland habitat for birds. Puurijärvi–Isosuo thus offers ideal conditions for rest and relaxation—not only for people, but also for birds.
Wellbeing and stimulation for all the senses
The park’s trails are suitable even for the youngest family members, as it is only about one kilometre from the parking area to one of the largest birdwatching towers in the Nordic countries, and the terrain is easy to walk. In addition, the national park is conveniently located with excellent transport connections.
There are many reasons to visit national parks—spending time in nature benefits both the mind and the body. In the Puurijärvi–Isosuo area, you can go geocaching, hike, and enjoy the summer nature with the whole family. A charming summer café is also located nearby.
