Kafea Gufihtar - Wilderness Café near Saariselkä

Experience the wilderness café in Kuttura, 25 km from Saariselkä! Kafea Gufihtar is an oasis for travellers and genuine gold diggers in the wilderness of Lapland. The café is open during the summer. There is also a small shop in the café, where you can find e.g. souvenirs and supplies for gold diggers.

This café, located “in the middle of nowhere”, is a different, interesting experience – come for a coffee or to taste the famous reindeer burger! In addition to burgers and coffee, the café also offers refreshments, soup, rolls and sweet snacks.

The current Kafea Gufihtar has been operating under the management of Tiina Koivisto since autumn 2016. The café continues the traditions that began in the early 1990s as an important meeting place at the intersection of the roads Kutturantie and Sotajoentie. The legendary place exudes a sense of nostalgia, and is both a necessary base for modern gold diggers and a wonderful destination for tourists. The owners also rent out a wilderness cabin in Kuttura, 48 km from Saariselkä.
