Canoe Tour: Äänekoski and Lake Keitele

Discover Lake Keitele, which inspired one of the most famous Finnish painters, Akseli Gallen-Kallela. Spend the day on the peaceful island of Risusaari, enjoy nature and relax by the water.

Itinerary:

- Paddling basics and safety

Before we start, the guide will teach you paddling techniques and cover safety instructions. You can join the tour even if you have no previous experience with paddling, everyone is welcome.

- Paddling to Risusaari and nearby islands

We’ll paddle through the pristine waters of Lake Keitele, navigating between forest-covered islands. The area is rich with birdlife and peaceful natural beauty.

- Break on Risusaari and exploring the island

We’ll land on Risusaari for an outdoor lunch. We’ll cook together over an open fire, stretch our legs, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of secluded island.

End of the tour: At approximately 13:00, Äänekoski harbour
