Accessible Nature House Käpälikkö and Sirius Hut by Lake Kyrkösjärvi offer nature-close meeting and event spaces year-round for families, groups, and companies in Seinäjoki.
Operated by a member association of the Finnish Outdoor Association, the log-built Nature House Käpälikkö serves as the gateway to Finland’s most diverse and accessible outdoor adventure trails: the Squirrel Trail (Oravapolku), the Stone Trail (Kivipolku), and the scenic Kyrkösjärvi–Juoppilanvuori area. This barrier-free meeting and event venue is ideal for family celebrations, meetings, workshops, camps, as well as wellness and recreational days. The indoor facilities accommodate approximately 40 guests. In summer, additional space is available on the terrace overlooking the lake and in the spacious yard for outdoor activities. The venue is equipped with a kitchen, video projector, sound system, and Wi-Fi. We offer additional services such as coffee breaks and meals tailored to your preferences, including options for special diets (for example, soup, flame-grilled salmon, sautéed reindeer, and layered cakes). Your visit is complemented by the adjacent Sirius Hut (a traditional Finnish hut), where you can relax on wooden benches by a gentle open fire, enjoying coffee brewed in a traditional camp kettle and pancakes cooked on a griddle under the starry sky. This atmospheric and accessible hut provides a tranquil space for groups of around 30 people to unwind and share memorable moments. Rental fees are €120 for 3 hours for either the Nature House or Sirius Hut separately, €180 for both venues together for 3 hours, and €190 for a full-day (6–8 hours) rental, with additional hours available at €25 per hour. Whether outdoors amid the crisp winter frost, the fresh greenery of spring, refreshing summer thunderstorms, or the brisk winds of autumn, every moment in this environment is easy and effortless to enjoy. The facilities are located next to Kyrkösjärvi beach, which offers ample parking. The distance from the Travel Center (Seinäjoki Matkakeskus) is 3.8 km. Come recharge in the nature of Seinäjoki — easily accessible.
