Lapua Battle guided tour

The guided tour follows the footsteps of the Pori Regiment led by General Carl Von Döbeln, known from Runeberg's stories of Ensign Stool, to all the key locations. There are routes of different lengths to choose from, which can be taken either by bus, on foot or by bike.

Harri J. Panula, a Finnish war expert and history guide from Lapua, has toured several dozen battle sites of the Finnish War in 2019-2024. During his travels, he has photographed monuments and key locations of the battles of 1808-1809.

Varying route lengths available. Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Short route on foot or by bicycle. Departure from Kiviristi or Vanha Paukku.
